Terms of Service
1. Description of Services
MyGoProSe provides legal document preparation assistance for self-represented (Pro Se) litigants. We help you organize information and prepare documents such as petitions, responses, and motions based on the facts you provide.
We do not provide legal advice, legal opinions, court representation, or strategic recommendations about your case. Using MyGoProSe does not create an attorney-client relationship. If you need legal advice, you should consult a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction.
2. Eligibility
To use MyGoProSe you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Be physically located in the State of Texas, where our services are offered.
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
If you do not meet these requirements, do not create an account.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for:
- Keeping your account credentials confidential and not sharing them with anyone.
- All activity that occurs under your account.
- Providing accurate, complete, and current information when you register and when you submit information about your matter.
- Notifying us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your authorization.
We are not responsible for losses arising from your failure to safeguard your credentials.
4. Payment Terms
Fees for services are presented to you on invoices issued through the portal. Unless stated otherwise on the invoice, payment is due on receipt. Payments are processed by Stripe; by paying you agree to Stripe's terms.
Once a prepared document has been delivered to you through the portal, the service has been rendered. No refunds are issued after document delivery. If you believe an invoice is incorrect, contact us before paying so we can review it.
5. Document Disclaimer
Documents we prepare for you are based entirely on the information you provide. Accuracy, completeness, and suitability of the resulting document depend on the accuracy and completeness of that information. It is your responsibility to:
- Review each prepared document carefully before signing, filing, or relying on it.
- Verify that the document is correct for your specific situation and current law.
- File the document with the appropriate court within any applicable deadlines.
We do not select forms for you based on legal strategy, predict outcomes, or appear in court on your behalf.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyGoProSe is not liable for:
- Outcomes in any court proceeding, including judgments, dismissals, sanctions, or fees awarded against you.
- Filing errors made by you, including missed deadlines, filing in the wrong court, or failing to serve required parties.
- Decisions you make based on prepared documents or information accessed through the portal.
- Indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages of any kind.
Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from your use of the service shall not exceed the total fees you paid to MyGoProSe in the six months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
7. Intellectual Property
Once a prepared document has been delivered to you and paid for, that document belongs to you. You may use it freely in connection with your matter. The portal itself — including the software, design, and aggregated content provided by MyGoProSe — remains our property and is licensed to you for your use of the service.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the portal to:
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
- Upload malicious code, attempt to breach our security, or interfere with other users' access.
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose, or in any way that could harm a third party.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
9. Termination
You may close your account at any time by contacting us at mygoproseadmin@gmail.com. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, if continued service is not feasible, or as required by law.
Upon termination — by either party — you may request deletion of your personal data and uploaded documents in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, the "Last updated" date above will change. Material changes will be communicated through the portal or by email before they take effect. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the service shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
