1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly when you create an account, request services, or communicate with us through the portal:

• Account details: your name, email address, and phone number.
• Case information: the case type, description, and any other facts you choose to share so we can prepare documents.
• Uploaded documents: any files you upload to your case folder (court paperwork, evidence, prior filings, identification, etc.).
• Messages: the content of messages you exchange with our team through the portal.
• Payment information: when you pay an invoice, your payment card details are collected and processed by Stripe directly. We do not see or store your full card number.
• Technical information: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) used to operate and secure the service.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to:

• Provide the document preparation services you request.
• Communicate with you about your matter, invoices, and account.
• Process payments through Stripe and keep records of those transactions.
• Maintain, secure, and improve the platform.
• Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

We do not use your personal information for advertising, and we do not sell it.

3. How We Store and Protect Your Information

Your data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections and stored on a secured server with access restricted to authorized personnel. Passwords are stored only as one-way hashes (bcrypt). Uploaded documents are stored on the same secured server and are accessible only to you and your assigned case team.

No system is perfectly secure. While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

4. Third-Party Services

We share personal information with third parties only where strictly necessary to provide the service:

• Stripe — payment processing. When you pay an invoice, Stripe receives the information needed to process that payment (your name, email, card details, and the invoice amount). Stripe's handling of your data is governed by its own privacy policy: https://stripe.com/privacy.

No other third parties receive your personal data. We do not share, rent, or sell your information to marketers, data brokers, or advertisers.

5. Document and Data Retention

We retain your account information, case files, and uploaded documents for as long as your account is active so we can continue to provide services to you. If you close your account or request deletion, we will permanently delete your personal information and uploaded documents within 30 days of your written request, except where we are required by law to retain certain records (for example, payment records for tax and accounting purposes).

6. Your Rights

You may at any time:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct information that is inaccurate or out of date.
• Delete your account and request removal of your personal data (subject to the retention rules above).

7. Cookies

We use a single session cookie (and an equivalent local storage token) for the sole purpose of keeping you logged in while you use the portal. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, or third-party analytics that profile you. You can clear these at any time through your browser settings; doing so will log you out.

8. Children

MyGoProSe is intended for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will also be communicated to you through the portal or by email before they take effect.
